S.A.F.E. Justice Foundation

The sudden, violent death of a loved one is a horrific experience for the family and friends of the victim.  If the death occurs abroad, where laws and legal processes are different, and where little or no English-speaking help may be available, the experience is even worse.

The charity S.A.F.E. Justice ("Support Abroad For Equal Justice") was registered as a charity in January 2005 by the mother of a young child who died while on holiday abroad. The charity’s aim was to provide a free, confidential information service to the families and friends of UK residents who have been killed on the roads of Europe.

We gave them a grant in 2006 to help them get established but unfortunately they were unable to continue and the charity was de-registered in September 2009.
