Capital Kids Cricket

In 1990, only 20 primary schools out of more than 800 in central London were still teaching even the most basic form of cricket.  Capital Kids Cricket was formed by a group of volunteers to re-introduce cricket to the sports curriculum of inner London state primary schools. Now, thanks to Capital Kids Cricket, most of those primary schools now actively teach cricket, and the campaign has been extended to secondary schools.

Our grants have supported the continuation of this work at primary and secondary state schools in the 16 inner London boroughs, including more in-school coaching, and out-of-school competitions, cricket leagues and a cricket festival.
